The Johnston Collection – watercolour pencil sketching class
The Johnston Collection is an exhibition house of exquisite British and European fine and decorative arts in a historic East Melbourne townhouse. They have guided tours, amazing lectures, and events. I have presented a number Watercolour Pencil sketching classes in 2024 and continue in 2025.
This is a unique opportunity to learn to sketch ‘on location’ at The Johnston Collection. Become familiar with watercolour pencils and how to use them. Then test your new skills as you explore the ground floor rooms of The Johnston Collection’s exhibition house, Fairhall. Have a look at their Special Events to book and see what else is on offer. Anyone can book for my event, you don’t have to be a Member.
Sketching from the LIbrary Garden – East Melbourne Library
Join me to learn to sketch with watercolour pencils. The class in East Melbourne Library with focus on plants grown in the East Melbourne Community Garden. Take ideas home to sketch your own garden. No equipment or experience necessary – just bring your enthusiasm. $40 for two hours, Sketchkits available for purchase ($25) if you want to take it home. Bookings essentials, Book here.

You can cancel with full refund. The classes go ahead, whatever the weather! Some of the time is spent in the Room we have in the Libray. If it is too wet/cold/windy to go out we sketch in the Library and its spaces, including a deck. When you travel, sometimes your plans get changed by the weather, and you can sketch where you are ! I hope that you and your friends can join me.!

Hi Irene, thanks for your email. Unfortunately I had to cancel my class. There is one more class “Christmas High Tea Sketching with Watercolour Pencils” It is hosted at Dromkeen homestead, just outside of Melbourne. class.
I will be running more classes in 2024 ! I hope to see you at one
